These were taken back on July 4th. The picture with the moon behind the grain elevator was taking by Andy, my oldest son. He saw the lighting and asked if he could take the picture.

Fireworks, Vol. 1
Taking pictures of fireworks is a challenge. Night pictures are always difficult, and even more so when the subject keeps moving around the night sky, changing in intensity, and never really letting you know when its going to be there. So… here is the first installment of the ones that cooperated. I think I took about 90 pictures in all.
Children on a Porch
Another one from the archives. Taken back on July 5, 2012. Many of the children were grumpy because they stayed up late the night before watching a fireworks display. We had to work to get them to smile, except for Joey. He was in a special Joey mood.
