Ah yes, the great series on Calvert’s doors continues. Who knew that such a small town, 1,116 people (according to City-Data.com), could produce so many doors? But then again, that’s why I always wanted to stop.

Thursday Doors — Calvert, TX Part 5. The point at which I realized I had a series.

Monochrome Monday: Calvert Oddities. I really love the B&W of the motorcycle through the window. It’s become one of my favorites.

Thursday Doors: On the Edge of Town.

Death of a Washer

Thursday Doors: Saturday Edition — Wash Out I love the way these were washed out. Still haven’t figured out how that happened.

This is part of Dan’s Thursday Doors Challenge! See more doors there.

High security measures…

I had to laugh at the “High Security.” Maybe the sight of the lock will keep people from getting close enough to see the other side.

I’m glad you didn’t toss these, My favorite is the white-ish door above the high security door. I’m trying to imagine the two buildings “New …Hall” when they had some sort of overhang above the first floor entrances. Great photos. Is that you in the reflection?

Glad you liked that. I couldn’t figure out what the New… Hall was. And yes, I think my reflection is in a few of them. I usually try to avoid that, but missed.

    Hi Timothy,
    I really enjoyed your photos.
I live in Australia and at least where I live, guns aren’t commonplace. So, that sign about no unlicensed fire arms being allowed on the premises brought a chuckle. I also loved the small padlock defending the joint and it seems that being shot by a gun is more likely than break and enter.
    Best wishes,
    Rowena

      Hi Rowena,

Yes, that is so true about the guns and breaking and entering. 🙂 We do love our guns here in Texas.

      Thanks for stopping by.
