Thursday Doors — On the Edge of Town

I’ve driven through the town of Calvert probably 300 times going back and forth from Dallas to College Station/Brenham. I always wanted to stop in Calvert and take a look. Back in November, me and my boys did just that, and I still have plenty of photos in the queue waiting to be published.

These are some of the crazy shots I got on the edge of town. This is part of Dan’s Thursday Doors Challenge.

This was the first door of interest. I don’t think it’s much of a door any longer.

The back door, looking up through the carport.

The purple building in the morning.

My good looking sons. (I have two more ugly ones I keep in the basement.)

We had Buzz with us.

A reflection of downtown.

Andy trying to see if there was anything inside worth looking at. There wasn’t.

The purple building, later in the day.

  1. I am so glad stopped, Timothy. These are great doors and excellent photos. I like exploring the towns we’ve driven by hundreds of times. It always seems to yield some treasures.

  2. Looks like a good place for a walk. That not-much-of-a-door is really interesting.
