The sign for Blue Bell caught my eye. Then the disappointment. The establishment was closed.
Woolworth reminded me of the old five and dime by the same name. The others, I just liked their signs.

One can’t help but ask: was it really necessary to put a gate up and a sign? It seem obvious to me that one should not head out on the dam. But I’m not 14 either.

Some might remember Gulf stations. That is where we got our gas for our cars. I just read up on the companies demise and T. Boone Pickens, a corporate raider (also think Oklahoma State Cowboys) was involved in it, and it went away in the mid 1980s.
And don’t take up skydiving.
