A Fountain

This fountain is along the riverwalk on the Brazos River just north of downtown Waco. I publish it now because I’ve had “writers/photographers” block for about 2 weeks now. I can’t seem to sit down and work on it. These photos were in the queue, I guess, for such a time as this.

It’s interesting that water ended up representing my photographic dryness.

Heidi had me go back and crop this one over again. I think it’s much better.

What do you think?

Shimmering Fountain

I believe there is a deeper reason why we love fountains. They represent living waters, or waters that never cease to flow. For a culture that doesn’t live in the desert, this can sometimes be hard to grasp. But desert living will quickly remind a person just how important living waters are to life. Without water, we die. With stagnant water, we die. With living waters, waters that flow, we live. And with the One who is THE living waters, we truly live. You can read about Him in the ancient book.

Below is a fountain I found on one of my walk-abouts, looking for people out-and-about.
