Yes, my youngest son turned 15 today. Happy Birthday Joey.
He and I have been going back and forth all day enjoying the reality that he is now 15. I started by telling him that he would be 16 and driving before long, then he would graduate, go to college, get a real job, get married, have children, raise them, watch them get married and have children, and then… he would old… just like.
He texted back, “that’s life.”
That shows he got a grip on it.
Then I reminded him that 15 years ago today, he started filling up diapers. We chuckled over that.
Finally, I sending him pictures wishing him Happy Birthday and reminding him that he is now 15.
I started with my white board in the classroom.
Then came the first 15!
I found this in one of the book lying around. He really like it.
I could pass up the Periodic Table declaring his age.
The calendar showed “no school” on his day!
This one was random.
I wanted to test his mathematical skills. (Don’t worry, I used a calculator to make sure the addition was correct).
One of my students helped as well.
I drafted another student to put the 15 on the white board.
BTW, he finally texted me and said, “that’s a lot of fifteen!” I responded by saying, “just be glad I’m not sending you a lot of 50s!” He agreed.
And finally, the last picture I took of him the last time he was with me. Here is my 15-year-old son Joey.
