Our local Veteran’s Administration building with all the flags waving in the breeze. I drive past the place almost every day on my way to work. Driving around with my boys, I finally decided to stop. There are a lot of flags.

I love the flags! The building is magnificent. I wonder if the outside arched sections were filled in at one point. It seems odd to have the arches purely for decoration, although perhaps that’s what they did with the upper story windows. In any case, it’s fascinating to think about.
