We recently celebrated Heidi’s birthday, and in lieu of going out to dinner, since she is on a restricted diet, I bought her flowers. It was quite the surprise for her, because I brought the red roses to her while she was as work at Starbuck’s. She didn’t know that I loaded up on dozens of flowers until she came home and found all these arrangements around the apartment. It was a great joy to surprise her with flowers in every room of the house, except the laundry room (we really only have a laundry hall, and it’s not a house, but a one bedroom apartment).

  1. That’s Husband of the Week material right there! Maybe even the month!

    1. Thanks. It certainly was a lot of fun doing it. I had an appointment at 10 a.m., and another at 1 p.m., so I had to get it done early, before she came home from work. I was at Trader Joe’s 10 minutes before they were open, and walking out the door at 8:07 a.m. I then went over to Starbuck’s to give her the flowers, came home, made all the arrangements and tried to clean up. I didn’t finish cleaning up the place but fortunately, my 10 a.m. meeting was short. Back home, cleaned it up. I was also here we she got home and kept spotting flowers. What a blast. She loved it.
