Sunday morning, I got a call from my elder, Seth, at about 8:30 a.m. Apparently, the bank where we have are Sunday morning worship was being audited by the IRS, so the room that they graciously let us use for worship was not available.

I immediately volunteered our living room. Everyone jumped in to make it happen. A deacon and I met at the bank to get the pulpit and our Cantus Christi 2020 psalter/hymn books. Others volunteered to bring folding chairs. Another man helped me rearrange things to fit. We moved our dining room table against the wall and used it for communion. I put the pulpit between the two rooms, and there was just enough room in the dining room for the keyboard. And, by God’s grace, worship went on as scheduled. Just another Sunday at Waco Reformed Church.

It was wonderful.

We had just enough room. We were missing two families, had they been there, well… it would have been tight.
