Most people get uncomfortable when the fact that Rehab, a harlot, is mentioned in the genealogy of Jesus Christ. They either ignore the fact, or try to water it down. Yet, she truly is a picture of God’s grace. She is, in a sense, a picture of the church, for she is called out of the darkness of world, and into the promised land. She turns from her harlotry, risks her life for Israeli spies, and is redeemed in the process.
This sermon is the fourth in a our series of the Gospel of Matthew, and is dealing with the family of Jesus. We find all types in His family tree, yet, God still used them to continue HIS plan of redemption in bringing the Seed of the Woman.
