When I look at these pictures, I can almost smell the cabin and hear the river below. This small cabin, called the Laurel’s, has become a home-away-from home for Heidi and me, since it is close to family and cheaper than a hotel. As you can see, the doors have the rustic character of the cabin itself. It’s actually more subtle than. The doors have character. That is the key to the Thursday Doors challenge: sharing pictures of doors with character.
Many doors in our world, completely lack character. One might argue that they do have character, but the character that comes from pressed particle board. Kind of like the character one finds in a McDonald’s hamburger wrapper. Purely functional and completely lacking in aesthetic appeal.
One final note, I almost thought of using the photos below for the Pull Up a Seat challenge, given the chairs involved, but decided against it, since the purpose of my photo session was to capture the doors.
