Living in Obama’s America

Since the election, I’ve really had little to say simply because I have been so disappointed about Romney’s loss to Barack Hussein Obama. I’m probably like most conservatives, realizing that we are no longer living in the America of our youth. Those days are gone. The days in which anyone could work hard and rise up from the lower classes have come to an end. Things are pretty much set. America will fall into the unofficial class system of haves and have nots and the have nots will have their hands open from the haves, the two groups never intermingling.

Of course, I could be wrong about that. If you are have and you don’t give to the ruling elite, then they are likely to make you a have not by taking what you do have and giving it to the have nots, who will still not have anything other than what they are given. Not a bad life for the have nots. Just sit back, wait on government and before long you will have your Obama phone along with your Obama television, Obama car (electric of course), Obamacare, Obama home, Obama edumacashun, and Obama dollars to spend on a six pack and pork rinds. (Are the the terms “six pack” and “pork rinds” still acceptable in Obama’s America, or have they become “racists?”)

Of course, I could be wrong about that. I have people who keep trying to tell me things are not going to be all that bad. In fact, according to some, I should look forward to Obamacare because it will be a lot less expensive for me than my current insurance which should be increasing their premiums by the end of the day. I know this to be one of those realities of Obama’s America because my prescriptions have already increased in price due to Obamacare. What use to be a $25 copay is now anywhere between $125 and $150. In fact, I think what has happened over the past four years is that the insurance companies swapped my copay for their copay. In other words, they are now paying $25 for my medicines and I’m paying the rest. Yes, I would use generic if there were generics offered.

Of course, I could be wrong about that. I was wrong about this stinking election. For weeks I tried to assure my lovely bride that Romney would win. Needless to say, I was wrong about that. I don’t predict things any more. She tried to ask me if we would be OK during the next four years in Obama’s American and I told her that Jesus is still on the throne. That’s all I’m truly willing to say about the future. I know the God of the future, but not much more about the future.

I’m right about that. As Christians, we must admit that Obama is in office because the God of all creation put him there. We like to think that it was the stupid, greedy, lazy and thoughtless Americans who actually put him there. But ultimately, whoever ends up in office is placed their by our Sovereign Lord. He must have His reasons even though we may not understand His reasons or like the ones we can understand.

I’m right about that. Jesus truly wants our eyes upon Him, and not upon our elected officials. Since Obama’s re-election, I’ve found myself stopped in mid thought over and over again. For instance, there are new reports out now that Obama will adopt U.N. treaties on small arms to “help?” reduce terrorism around the world. It will mean that every gun in America will become registered with another bureaucracy, and more of our rights guaranteed under the Constitution will be removed. My thoughts are… well, maybe someone will stand up to Obama and stop him. Then, realizing that no one will, I realize that we might as well give up on our Second Amendment rights. This is Obama’s America and it no longer belongs to us.

Of course, I could be wrong about that. But it seems to me that Jesus wants us looking to Him for our protection, our provision and our hope. Not government. In fact, it is looking to government that has gotten us in this situation in the first place. We keep thinking our freedoms come from the politicians we elect instead of God. Our freedoms do not come from politicians. They are inalienable rights given to us from our Creator. We have been looking to government far too long to solve America’s problems and not looking to HIM. Only He can bring about the freedom we long for. Only He can bring about the country we hope for. Only He can open the eyes of the people to the truth of the gospel, which is most necessary if this country is ever to resemble anything like the America of our youth. The problem is that even those of us on the right have been looking to government to solve our problems instead of looking to Him. That is exactly the problem those on the left have and we have it too. No politician is going to bring true peace or true freedom. This is why so many we send to Washington to turn things around end up adding to the problem. They can’t solve the problems. Only God can.

Of that, I’m certain. We better quit looking to the some new politician to be the answer and looking to Christ. That comes about by being on our knees in prayer. We can either start now, praying for His mercy in our country, or it will get much worse, in which case, we will end up on our knees in prayer for His mercy. Either way, we need to look to Him, not Obama’s America for answers.

Of that, I’m certain.

The Libya Question and Random Thoughts

The Libya Question – I was speaking with a man yesterday who’s son is a Naval officer in charge of providing security overseas for our diplomats and dignitaries when they go overseas. The man told me the Navy had a rescue team ready to go into Libya to rescue the ambassador before the ambassador’s death. The U.S. Navy was completely aware that the attack was imminent and were making preparations to intervene and provide aid to the ambassador. They were never given the green light to provide that aid. Seems like if the Navy knew it was a terrorist attack and was ready to provide aid, that the White House should have known as well. But that would have required Obama to leave the campaign trail and actually attend daily intelligence briefings.

Governor Susana Martinez – The county Republicans contacted our church last week to see if they could use our parking lot for get-out-the-vote rally. We gladly granted them permission.

Because of this, Governor Susana Martinez will be arriving here on Saturday and hanging out in the church before the rally. It looks like I will get an opportunity to meet her. I posted her speech from the Republican National Convention here.

Voting Democrat? Is there any justification ever for a Christian to vote Democrat? Democrats are on record as the party of death. They love to kill children in the womb, and now it appears that Obamacare has death panels. Whenever you ration healthcare, that is the end result as a study out of the United Kingdom is now showing. TaylorMade Golf Clubs — I Googled golf clubs about three weeks ago. Now every page I visit on the web, even with my computer at home, has a Taylormade Golf club ad. Don’t think for a moment that Google isn’t tracking our googles.

Binder-gate? Not sure I understand the left’s attempt to make a deal out of Romney’s binder comment. But alas, when you are desperate, you will grasp at anything.

Bishop E.W. Jackson Points Out Inconsistency of Democratic Party for Christians

The Bishop E.W. Jackson speaks out against the Democratic Party, saying that it is antithetical to those of us who are Christians. I’ve been saying it for years, how can the party that cherishes killing the unborn have anything to do with the Light of the World? How can the party that recognize two men in an unholy relationship have anything to do with the ONE who said it was an abomination to Him? How can the party the cherishes every level of sinful and rebellious behavior have anything to do with the One who submitted Himself to the death of the cross out of humble obedience?

The Democratic Party and Christianity are incompatible with one another. Christians should leave the party and not vote for those who stand with them.

Here is the Bishop E.W. Jackson saying the same thing from his perspective as a black Christian. I truly am encouraged by his words. Even though he is speaking mainly to black Christians, he reminds us that we need to stand with God, not some political party or candidate. God is the One who will take care of us, not the fallen government. Speaking of which see the second video in which Dr. Barbara Beller points out just how ridiculous it is for us to think that Obamacare will take care anyone at all.

Use Obamacare to End Abortion

Yes, I’m extremely disappointed that the Supreme Court rule that Obamacare is nothing more than a tax increase. That being the case, the Court said that Congress has that right, so the country was just handed the largest tax increase in history.

I also recognize that there are those who do not have insurance and need it, however, I don’t believe this was the way to go. Since we are on this trajectory, now is time for Republicans to formulate a plan to end abortion through Obamacare. How? Simply by using this bureaucratic monster to delay women in getting abortion.

When a woman seeks to get an abortion, require that she must sign up for a three month course that teaches her the full implications of abortion, both biologically and psychologically. This way, she is not duped into believe that the life in her womb is just ”pregnancy material.”

Once this course has been completed, then she needs to apply to a special board of health officials that will interview each candidate for the surgical procedure to take place. Then, she must file the appropriate paper work in triplicate… submitting it to all the appropriate branches of Health and Human Services, or department heads, who must read the forms, agree that she is a candidate for aborting, and grant her the service. At this point she must apply to another committee for an assigned and appropriate physician to perform the procedure and once he has passed all the legalities to perform the abortion, then he can do so.

But wait, there is more. Since the abortion doctor must also have the right number of nurses, they must apply for permits and be authorized to help the physician in this procedure for THIS patient, and once that is approved, then they too can assist in the procedure.

Once all this is done, the child, who is now 18 years old and graduating from high school, can be aborted… only by then, it will be too late.

Honestly, I’m trying to find some empty silver lining in all this. I really am shocked that it was Justice Roberts that sided with the liberals on this issue. What an absolute disappointment.

Roundup That Matters

Pastor Youcef still needs our prayers plus an UPDATE — as of today, Pastor Youcef is still thought to be alive in Iran even though he has been sentenced to death for converting from Islam to Christianity.

We know that God ultimately holds Pastor Youcef’s future in His hands, so we trust that whatever happens, God will be glorified and the gospel will go forward. But we still must pray for his deliverance and ask the LORD to have him spared from the radicals of Islam.

Not Afraid to Tell Her Story — Here is a post about Athena Dean who was involved in a terrible cult of mind control for the past 12 years. While in it, she lost her husband, family, home, business and car all because she fell under the Satanic control of cult-leader Tim Williams. Her business was running Wine Press, which was a successful small business until Williams and company showed up on the scene. Like many cults, Williams has left a long trail of broken Christians in his path.

Remember, we are to follow Christ, not men, especially when they twist Scripture to support their arguments. Whenever someone says that you should do something because God said so, and they point to the Bible to support their case, realize that this isn’t how Christianity operates. Athena also has a piece of the tactics of the cults.

Seven States File Lawuit over Obama Mandate — Good news. We see that seven states which include Texas, Florida, Michigan, Nebraska, Ohio, Oklahoma and South Carolina, are filing a lawsuit in district court to stop the Obama mandate that would require religious institutions to provide health care that would provide abortions and contraceptions that are against their religious beliefs. As we saw in my post yesterday, the so-called compromise, was not a compromise at all and the mandate as it was written is still the mandate that is being required by Health and Human Services, which is a violation of our rights guaranteed under the First Amendment. The mandate demands that those who believe it is fundamentally wrong to kill a child would still have to pay for services that kill children. With this issue and the issue of Arizona’s immigration law, it’s sad to see that Americans greatest opponent to freedom and liberty is our own president. Alas, but we tried to warn our friends and families who were so ga-ga over this man, yet they would not listen.

Obama Confident He Has Another Five Years — not if we have anything to say about it. King Obama declared to Univision that he has another five years to set his plans in place. There he is quoted as saying the following:

“Well, first of all … my presidency is not over,” Obama, who just a few months ago described himself as an underdog in the presidential race, said in a telephone interview.  ”I’ve got another five years coming up. We’re going to get this done,” he said.

“I would have only broken my promise if I hadn’t tried,” he said. “But ultimately, I’m one man. You know, we live in a democracy. We don’t live in a monarchy. I’m not the king. I’m the president. And so, I can only implement those laws that are passed through Congress.”
Given that we know he lies and actually believe and does the opposite of what he says in public, he really does see himself as king. Just given that he made that statement is quite telling. He has actually thought about it, desired it, wished it, so he could do away with that pesky Constitution that keeps him from implementing all his socialistic programs. Thank God we do have the Constitution and we have people who are still standing up for it.
Runaway Slave Still Working for Release — The movie Runaway Slave is still working to be released on a wide scale. The movie was shown in Washington for its premiere to about 200 blacks, all of which gave the movie a standing ovation at it’s conclusion. The movie focuses on how Democrat policies have actually enslaved black people to the Liberal agenda. As on commentator on the movie said… “the Democrats want the government to become our god.” I think the political cartoon at the top of the posts illustrates the point. The more people who are dependent upon government, the more government controls our lives, the more power they have. That is socialism. Every country that has tried it has failed. You can see the failures in Obama’s policies already.
I saw this comment over at Neil’s blog by Roxeanne De Luca, about the hypocrisy of the left. It captures what the movie is trying to say, and the cartoon above:

Amazing smackdown, Neil. Why does the Left never discuss how their own failed policies cause the poverty they are trying to prevent? They make housing obscenely expensive via “free” money and mandates, then cry about how the “free market” caused the housing bubble. They make it nearly impossible to commit mentally ill homeless people, then can’t figure out why we can’t get people off the streets. They undermine the dignity of an honest day’s work, then can’t figure out why people refuse to get off welfare. Then, when they’ve gotten the government and their twisted interpretation of the Constitution to really make a muck of things, the “solution” is more government intervention. As the Queen of Swords and I were saying today, it’s like people who ignore you when you tell them to not eat ten deep-fried Twinkies a day, then, when they turn into whales, say that the only solution to their problem is to eat more deep-fried Twinkies, because eating boosts the metabolism.

Obama Lied With Compromise

The Heritage Foundation has offered a great summary of the problem with Obama’s mandate last week that religious institutions must provide health care for women that pays for abortions, etc. We were led to believe that a compromise was offered, but the mandate  that was put in place, wasn’t changed to reflect any compromise. What this means is that the speech he gave trying to say that the religious institutions would not have to pay for contraceptions or abortions, but that the insurance companies would have to provide them for free, was just a lie. The mandate remained exactly as it was penned.

Pastor Rick Warren Takes a Stand: Will You?

I’m not a fan of Rick Warren, his church or his methods, but I have to admire him for standing strong in the face of Obama’s encroachment of our Christian beliefs. For those of you who do not know, the Obama administration has mandated that all Christian organizations must provide healthcare to their employees that includes paying for abortions. This mandate violates the conscience of those of us who believe that abortion is murder, and therefore violates the First Amendment. Many Catholics have already started standing up to this tyranny by the Obama Administration, so far, to no avail. The Administration has basically said that we have a year to figure out how to violate our own consciouses so that we can comply with the mandate. Thank you King Obama for such grace in the matter.

Rick Warren, pastor of Saddleback Church in California and the man who prayed for Obama at the king’s coronation, has come out in a stand against his majesty. Warren sent the following twitter earlier in the week:

“I’m not a Catholic but I stand in 100% solidarity with my brothers & sisters to practice their belief against govt pressure,” Warren said. “I’d go to jail rather than cave in to a govement mandate that violates what God commands us to do. Would you? Acts 5:29.”

I like his boldness. I like the question that he asks at the end. Are we willing, as Christians, to give up our freedom in order to stand for the innocent of this country, and to stand against they tyranny of our current dictator? Are we willing to lose our access to Facebook, and Angry Birds in order to stand for what we believe in? Are we truly willing to suffer the sake of righteousness?

Sometimes I wonder about our country along these lines, especially the church in our country. The church is dreadfully weak because we have been so focused upon living the good life that we forget that sometimes Christ calls us to the cross before He shares His glory with us. I know that many do not like to think about such things, but it could be that Our LORD is calling us to stand up an fight against such tyrants like Obama, who trample on the Constitution daily, and promote the whole-sale slaughter of innocent children.

We need more men to stand up in face of King Obama and tell him enough is enough. He thinks he is right in telling us that we need to get over our consciences, but he need to get over his tyranny and return to being  a president with limited powers. It’s time to tell him that we didn’t elect a dictator or potentate, but a president that cannot do as he pleases.

This may mean we spend time in jail when the tyrant throws a fit. I hope Warren is ready to do so, and many more. It’s time to say enough! “Your tyranny was dealt with once in the 1700s with another king, we will deal with you in the same way.” Otherwise, we should accept the coronation as it was given back in 2008, and go back to playing Angry Birds.

House Votes to Repeal Obamacare

I know it is only symbolic because the Senate will never pass the bill, but the house voted to repeal Obamacare 245-189 today. This is a good sign. The bill may remain in effect because of the Democrats unwillingness to see it through the Senate, but you can guarantee that it will be defunded over the the next several months become a toothless law.

I don’t mean to be disrespectful, but I hope Obama throws a hissy fit.

In view of this, please don’t buy into the lie that Republicans want to kill old people and children because of this vote. That is just Democratic rhetoric on the same level of those who accused Sarah Palin for the killings in Tucson, AZ. If you can’t see through the rhetoric for what it is, please, don’t vote and move to California. It would be good for all of you to collect in one state. Since California has long since left reason in it’s government, you will fit in nicely.

Repeal, Repeal, Repeal!

The 112th Congress was sword in today and my hopes for them is that they will set out to repeal, repeal, repeal, and not stop repealing until the effects of the 111th Congress have been completely wiped out. This should be the mantra of the Republican Freshmen and remain so even after they have become Republican veterans. The last two years have seen more of our liberties destroyed and trampled upon than any other time in history. Obama and Co. have continued to press forward with their liberal agenda without hesitation and even in view their thumping in the general election in November.

PLEASE be forewarned. That in the coming months, you will hear stories like the following from the MSM:

For two years, Cantor and his colleagues campaigned against high deficits. Now, in the new majority’s first major act, they plan to vote to increase the deficit by $143 billion as part of a repeal of health-care reform.

This brilliant (tongue in cheek) piece is by Dana Millbank of the Washington Post. He goes on to write that the incoming Congress will be just as arrogant as the outgoing Congress. In other words, “don’t be like the guys who saddled us with this boondoggle of a health bill. In fact, leave the bill alone and please be nice.“

Get the point? No matter what this Congress does, the liberal media will put it forth as adding to the cost of the budget and not playing nice. Never mind the fact that we got Obamacare by those not playing nice, and ignoring the will of the people. So now that the Congress is listening to the will of the people, the MSM is going to claim that Congress is a bunch of bullies. I hope Milbank gets to the truth: we don’t want Congress to play nice. We want them to stuff Obamacare, and the rest of his legislation, into a hole so deep that it can never come out again.

We are not going to buy into their lies either. How in the world is getting rid of Obamacare going to cost “more” money. It means keeping the government from expanding. That never costs money. That saves untold amounts of money. So don’t buy into the lies put forth by the MSM. The best thing for the country is to shrink the size of government, get out of the way of business in general, and let America become American again.

Obamacare Worse Than Expected

AS if this should surprise us. A report just out shows that Obamacare is far worse than we feared. In other words, costs are going to skyrocket for everyone and everybody and the healthcare is going to get worse. Thanks a lot you liberal loving loonies. Here I am trying to make it in the world, barely doing so financially with the cost of health insurance as it is, and you hopey changey people have gone and changed things so bad, it’s only going to get worse. Were I not more inclined to following the leading of the Holy Spirit, I might go off the deep end on you libs… especially those claiming to be Christians at the same time (How? You are asking the government to provide as if the government was God. The government only does a few things well, break things and mess things up. Now they are in charge of our health care… thanks Libs.).

Here are some of the highlights of Obamacareless according to the washingtonexaminer.com

» Obamacare won’t decrease health care costs for the government. According to Medicare’s actuary, it will increase costs. The same is likely to happen for privately funded health care.

» As written, Obamacare covers elective abortions, contrary to Obama’s promise that it wouldn’t. This means that tax dollars will be used to pay for a procedure millions of Americans across the political spectrum view as immoral. Supposedly, the Department of Health and Human Services will bar abortion coverage with new regulations but these will likely be tied up for years in litigation, and in the end may not survive the court challenge.

» Obamacare won’t allow employees or most small businesses to keep the coverage they have and like. By Obama’s estimates, as many as 69 percent of employees, 80 percent of small businesses, and 64 percent of large businesses will be forced to change coverage, probably to more expensive plans.

» Obamacare will increase insurance premiums — in some places, it already has. Insurers, suddenly forced to cover clients’ children until age 26, have little choice but to raise premiums, and they attribute to Obamacare’s mandates a 1 to 9 percent increase. Obama’s only method of preventing massive rate increases so far has been to threaten insurers.

» Obamacare will force seasonal employers — especially the ski and amusement park industries — to pay huge fines, cut hours, or lay off employees.

» Obamacare forces states to guarantee not only payment but also treatment for indigent Medicaid patients. With many doctors now refusing to take Medicaid (because they lose money doing so), cash-strapped states could be sued and ordered to increase reimbursement rates beyond their means.

» Obamacare imposes a huge nonmedical tax compliance burden on small business. It will require them to mail IRS 1099 tax forms to every vendor from whom they make purchases of more than $600 in a year, with duplicate forms going to the Internal Revenue Service. Like so much else in the 2,500-page bill, our senators and representatives were apparently unaware of this when they passed the measure.

» Obamacare allows the IRS to confiscate part or all of your tax refund if you do not purchase a qualified insurance plan. The bill funds 16,000 new IRS agents to make sure Americans stay in line.

Have you figured out how mad I am about this? You stupid libs and your socialist polices are affecting ME. I can barely make ends meet now, and your feel good, tax only the wealthy (but in reality, tax everyone more) policies are costing me. It’s everything I can do to stay calm. I better step away from the computer and take a deep breath.
