Obama Could Be a Tyrant Because He Is a Tyrant

Over the past couple of weeks surrounding the debate over the Second Amendment, those of us on the right have put forth the reason that we have the Second Amendment in the Constitution: It was there so we could protect ourselves from the rise of a tyrant.

The left keep telling us Second Amendment is there so we can continue hunting. They act truly magnanimous in making these claims. But the Second Amendment was not given because the Founding Fathers loved hunting. It was given because they hated tyrants, specifically the tyrant they were living under in King George.

The Founding Fathers understood human nature for what it was. We are all fallen individuals with sin natures and any one of us, given the lack of restraint while in power, could rise to the level of a tyrant. This was the reason for putting the Second Amendment in the Bill of Rights. The Founding Fathers wanted us to be able to protect ourselves from a tyrannical government. Tyrants arise when there is no restraint. The Second Amendment is part of that restraint.

This truth about the Second Amendment also negates those who are arguing that the Founding Fathers had no idea about the fire-power weapons have in our current day and age. This is a moot point, since the Second Amendment was given to protect us from the fallen, human heart in power. The power of the weapon is moot since it is the heart behind the weapon that makes it dangerous. Therefore if the government has rocket launchers, so too should the people, so that they can protect themselves from their leaders.

Another problem we have coming from the left is that our country and nation has been teaching the “inherent goodness” of humanity for so long that to suggest that someone as benevolent as Barack Hussein Obama could become a tyrant is just outside the pale of normal collective thought. How could such a nice man do something so wicked and evil like suppressing his own people?

He could do so because he already is doing so. Just his position and strong support of a woman’s ability to have her unborn child killed shows he already has the heart of a tyrant. The real reason for abortion, 99 percent of the time, is a matter of convenience on part of the woman who is pregnant. Obama supports this position and even goes further in his statements than the law allows, arguing for the right to kill a child of a botched abortion. His statements and positions on abortion show us his heart and show us that he is not beyond suppressing one class of people for the rights of another class of people.

By the way, a right is not a right if it means removing the rights of another person in order for that right to exist. Obama is more than willing to ignore the rights of the unborn for the convenience of the mother, and have tax payers pay for this convenience. I don’t know his personal reasons for taking this position, but I do know that it does show the heart of a tyrant. Any man or woman in power willing to wipe out a portion of society for the benefits of another part of society shows that they have tyrants hearts.

Therefore when we bring up the possibility that Obama could become a tyrant, we need not go far for evidence. He has already proven himself to be a tyrant in the sense that he will suppress a class of people simply for convenience sake.

This is why we need the Second Amendment in tact. It’s not there to protect our right to hunt or to shoot targets. It is there to protect our freedoms from such men as the president. If we allow this freedom to be removed, it will only embolden the tyrant that is within the president right now. The only thing keeping him from seizing the controls of this country more so is the possibility of retribution from the masses. He needs that warning and needs the reminder. He is there to serve the people, not the other way around.

One last point, the tyrant within doesn’t exist just because he is a Democrat. It exists in all of us and we need the restraints that are placed in society to keep tyrants from ruling all of us. This is why we are to pray for the president, not only that he makes wise decisions according to God’s wisdom, but also so that the Holy Spirit will restrain him in his sinfulness. We would need to pray the same thing if a Republican was in office. There are tyrants in all of us and we all need restraint.

Living in Obama’s America

Since the election, I’ve really had little to say simply because I have been so disappointed about Romney’s loss to Barack Hussein Obama. I’m probably like most conservatives, realizing that we are no longer living in the America of our youth. Those days are gone. The days in which anyone could work hard and rise up from the lower classes have come to an end. Things are pretty much set. America will fall into the unofficial class system of haves and have nots and the have nots will have their hands open from the haves, the two groups never intermingling.

Of course, I could be wrong about that. If you are have and you don’t give to the ruling elite, then they are likely to make you a have not by taking what you do have and giving it to the have nots, who will still not have anything other than what they are given. Not a bad life for the have nots. Just sit back, wait on government and before long you will have your Obama phone along with your Obama television, Obama car (electric of course), Obamacare, Obama home, Obama edumacashun, and Obama dollars to spend on a six pack and pork rinds. (Are the the terms “six pack” and “pork rinds” still acceptable in Obama’s America, or have they become “racists?”)

Of course, I could be wrong about that. I have people who keep trying to tell me things are not going to be all that bad. In fact, according to some, I should look forward to Obamacare because it will be a lot less expensive for me than my current insurance which should be increasing their premiums by the end of the day. I know this to be one of those realities of Obama’s America because my prescriptions have already increased in price due to Obamacare. What use to be a $25 copay is now anywhere between $125 and $150. In fact, I think what has happened over the past four years is that the insurance companies swapped my copay for their copay. In other words, they are now paying $25 for my medicines and I’m paying the rest. Yes, I would use generic if there were generics offered.

Of course, I could be wrong about that. I was wrong about this stinking election. For weeks I tried to assure my lovely bride that Romney would win. Needless to say, I was wrong about that. I don’t predict things any more. She tried to ask me if we would be OK during the next four years in Obama’s American and I told her that Jesus is still on the throne. That’s all I’m truly willing to say about the future. I know the God of the future, but not much more about the future.

I’m right about that. As Christians, we must admit that Obama is in office because the God of all creation put him there. We like to think that it was the stupid, greedy, lazy and thoughtless Americans who actually put him there. But ultimately, whoever ends up in office is placed their by our Sovereign Lord. He must have His reasons even though we may not understand His reasons or like the ones we can understand.

I’m right about that. Jesus truly wants our eyes upon Him, and not upon our elected officials. Since Obama’s re-election, I’ve found myself stopped in mid thought over and over again. For instance, there are new reports out now that Obama will adopt U.N. treaties on small arms to “help?” reduce terrorism around the world. It will mean that every gun in America will become registered with another bureaucracy, and more of our rights guaranteed under the Constitution will be removed. My thoughts are… well, maybe someone will stand up to Obama and stop him. Then, realizing that no one will, I realize that we might as well give up on our Second Amendment rights. This is Obama’s America and it no longer belongs to us.

Of course, I could be wrong about that. But it seems to me that Jesus wants us looking to Him for our protection, our provision and our hope. Not government. In fact, it is looking to government that has gotten us in this situation in the first place. We keep thinking our freedoms come from the politicians we elect instead of God. Our freedoms do not come from politicians. They are inalienable rights given to us from our Creator. We have been looking to government far too long to solve America’s problems and not looking to HIM. Only He can bring about the freedom we long for. Only He can bring about the country we hope for. Only He can open the eyes of the people to the truth of the gospel, which is most necessary if this country is ever to resemble anything like the America of our youth. The problem is that even those of us on the right have been looking to government to solve our problems instead of looking to Him. That is exactly the problem those on the left have and we have it too. No politician is going to bring true peace or true freedom. This is why so many we send to Washington to turn things around end up adding to the problem. They can’t solve the problems. Only God can.

Of that, I’m certain. We better quit looking to the some new politician to be the answer and looking to Christ. That comes about by being on our knees in prayer. We can either start now, praying for His mercy in our country, or it will get much worse, in which case, we will end up on our knees in prayer for His mercy. Either way, we need to look to Him, not Obama’s America for answers.

Of that, I’m certain.

Obama Approves of Grumpy Old Biden

I was listening to Rush Limbaugh yesterday after the VP debate and he pointed out that what we saw of Joe Biden is exactly what the Democratic Party has become. For those of you who didn’t watch the debate, Biden came across as mean, grumpy, condescending, arrogant, aloof, and seemed to make light of some serious issues by laughing all the time. The entire performance angered quite a few people and most have seen Biden and the Democratic Party for what they are.

The news this morning is seeing that Obama approved of Biden’s behavior. He thought Biden did an excellent point. Obama said:

“I’m going to make a special point of saying that I thought Joe Biden was terrific tonight,” Obama said as he descended Air Force One, according to a media pool report. “I could not be prouder of him. I thought he made a very strong case. I really think that his passion for making sure that the economy grows for the middle class came through. So I’m very proud of him.”

He proved Rush’s point. If Obama is proud of Biden, then this is who they are and they are proud of it. They don’t mind being arrogant and condescending. They dont’ mind looking down on America and ruling from on high. They truly do think they are the smartest people in the room.

I truly do hope and pray that God spares us from another four years of this Administration. If Obama and Biden get reelected, I don’t think there will be another election in U.S. for president because I don’t think the U.S. will survive intact. It will end up going the way of the Soviet Union.

Roundup That Matters 5/28

Obama Stands For Islam — but then, are we surprised about this? He is anti-First Amendment in his stance. People slander Jesus Christ all the time and yet, you don’t see Christians rioting and killing people over it. Only the religion of peace does that.

Divorce Rate Among Devoted Christians Much Lower Than National Average — For years we have been hearing that the divorce rate among Christians was just as bad as that among non-Christians… at 50 percent. That stat is erroneous and misleading in nature as well. But there is a new study out showing that those who are devoted Christians actually have a lower divorce rate than those non-believers. Here the key poing:

People who seriously practice a traditional religious faith—whether Christian or other—have a divorce rate markedly lower than the general population.

What the study shows is that the more a couple is committed to their beliefs, the less likely they are to become divorced.

Gloria Jackson Show — I like the following video from the Gloria Jackson Show. She interviews Comedian Brad Stine about freedom of speech. The more I listened to it the more I like Brad Stine. Not only does he discuss the problem of Marxism and political correctness, but he goes on to talk about the true equality we have because of Christ and Christianity.

BTW, I actually started paying more attention to Gloria Jackson when I was listening to a debate between a Calvinist and Armenian recently and she was one of the people who asked a question during the Q&A.

Paganini Humor — Another video that I have found very humorous, and entertaining are those put out by PAgagNINI, a couple of violinist who put humor to playing music. The following is one of my favorites in which they cover U2′s With or Without You. It’s beautiful. (Hattip Andrew M.)

Happy Empty Chair Day

Today has been declared “Happy Empty Chair Day!” This is in honor of Clint Eastwood’s conversation with Empty Chair Obama at the RNC. I love the message behind the empty chair, as this first picture says. Obama has no ideas. Why should we expect him to? All he is seeking to do is bring America down to size. He doesn’t care about the middle class, lower class, etc, because his goal is to bring us high unemployment, and greater government dependence. This is why he cannot run on his record. To do so, would be to be too honest with us, the American People.

So in honor of the empty chair, here are some of the renditions floating around on Facebook:

It’s Bush’s Fault!

The Empty Chair

Kuddos to Clint Eastwood. He knocked one out of the park talking to the empty chair Thursday night at the convention and it really got under the skin of those on the Left, given how they responded with empty statements that it demeaned the office of the president. How could the office be demeaned any more than it has. Never in the history of this country has a sitting president bowed to another leader in the world, and this president did just that. Never has a sitting president gone on tour to apologize for supposed atrocities we’ve committed around the world. Has the world ever thanked our country for the countless times the citizens of our country gave their lives and money to help them in their time of need? Not at all. The president of our country is embarrassed about our country and for that alone, we need to vote him out of office.

The empty chair is so appropriate. As an IBD Editorial points out, the empty chair is the perfect symbol for this president.

In remarks to a chair as vacant as the one in the Oval Office, a Hollywood icon reminds us that the president is a failed employee of the people and it’s time to let him go.

And…

Eastwood reminded us that as taxpayers “we own this country,” and as landlords we have the right to evict the occupant of the White House that has run up our electric, grocery and fuel bills. Under Obama, America, as represented by the White House, is “underwater” $16 trillion in debt, and with a national mortgage greater than our national income.

That alone is reason enough to fire Mr. Obama. But given his attitude about this country and who we are, we should have never voted for him. The key to understanding Obama’s view of this country was in his wife’s comment about how she was finally proud of America after he got nominated. Really? Running with leftwing hate mongers will produce such an attitude which means he isn’t qualified. He thinks his role is to bring the U.S. back down to size. In Obama’s mind, we are obviously too big for our britches.

The IBD editorial continues:

Eastwood highlighted the empty chair and the empty promises and policies that failed to lower both the sea level and the unemployment rate, stuck at more than 8% for 42 months, a post-Depression record. Meanwhile, President Obama jets to college campuses in the carbon-gushing Air Force One to prattle on about student loans to college students who won’t be able to find jobs.

Obama and his administration officials have made 435 taxpayer-funded visits to college campuses or other events targeting students since March 2011. Included have been 164 trips to battleground states, a new study shows, leaving him too busy to meet with his jobs council to find these kids work.

Eastwood’s empty chair reminds us of the poem by William Hughes Mearns that goes in part: “Last night I saw upon the stair, A little man who wasn’t there, He wasn’t there again today, Oh, how I wish he’d go away .. .”

Eastwood suggests that in November we can make our invisible president do just that.

By the way, I’m sure that the content and allusion to the chair is considered racist by MSNBC’s Chris Matthews. Apparently that windbag (another racists comment I bet), is trying to show that no matter what we say on the right, it’s racist. This shows us just how racist the left is. Let’s elect Mitt Romney in November and send this racist president packing.

Chicago Young Republicans “Call Me Maybe” Remix

I love seeing some of the young adults in our country who get it concerning politics. The Chicago Young Republicans put together this remix of the song “Call Me Maybe” about wanting our country back from Obama and the nee for more people to join in the Republican cause.

The Difference between Romney-Ryan and Obama-Biden in Six Minutes And a Glimpse of Paul Ryan

This video helps illustrate the difference between Romney-Ryan and Obama-Biden. The latter is about spending, growing government, hiding the truth about spending and growing the government and burdening the people. Romney-Ryan are about solutions, but not by growing the government and giving it more power. Watch and learn:

I am surprised by this pick because Ryan wasn’t on my radar. But when it comes to fiscal responsibility Ryan is definitely a great choice. Since this is what the country needs, and if Romney uses him in this way, he could really help get the country back on track fiscally.

Now… if there was a pick to help us get back on track morally.

Here is what Paul Ryan said in his acceptance speech, according to Townhall.com, which shows they are willing to take on Obama directly.

“America is a place where if you work hard, and play by the rules, you can get ahead……. We look at one another’s success with pride, not resentment. Because we know as more Americans works hard, take risks, succeed, more prosper,” Ryan said. ““We promised equal opportunity, not equal outcomes.”

Here is presentation Paul Ryan makes for the budget back in 2011. This gives you an idea of what is at stake concerning our fiscal future in this country, and an idea of what Ryan’s plan would do. There are three parts to it.
