Global Warming Update

Again, more truth coming out against those global-warming alarmist…Remember those pictures of polar bears on glaciers that were dying because there was no longer any ice at the north pole, thereby showing us how wicked we were for destroying the planet?

Seems the main research to make those claims is being investigated for the integrity of his report.

A leading climate scientist whose report in 2006 of drowning polar bears in Arctic waters galvanized the global warming movement — and was highlighted in Al Gore’s Oscar-winning climate-change documentary — has been suspended, possibly over the accuracy of his observations.

Charles Monnett — who manages as much as $50 million worth of climate research on Arctic wildlife and ecology — was told on July 18 that he was being put on leave pending an investigation into “integrity issues,” according to a letter posted online by the advocacy group Public Employees for Environmental Responsibility (PEER), which is questioning Monnett’s suspension.

It doesn’t take a scientist to see that there is a great deal at stake here for the scientist. He has $50 million in research fund to handle. That is a lot of money to be lost, and he should lose his job if the allegations are proven to be true. What is even more interesting is the actual account that led to the false belief that polar bears were dying due to a lack of ice.

Michael Browich, the director of BOEMRE, told his staff by email Friday that the suspension was unrelated to the 2006, AP reported, though he would not clarify what information the group sought. Documents provided by PEER seem to contradict that.

They indicate investigators are focusing on observations that Monnett and fellow researcher Jeffrey Gleason made in 2004, while conducting an aerial survey of bowhead whales. The report said they observed four dead polar bears floating in Arctic waters after a storm. They detailed their observations in an article published two years later in the journal Polar Biology; presentations also were given at scientific gatherings.

In the peer-reviewed article, the researchers said they were reporting, to the best of their knowledge, the first observations of polar bears floating dead offshore and presumed drowned while apparently swimming long distances in open water — suggesting “that drowning-related deaths of polar bears may increase in the future if the observed trend of regression of pack ice and/or longer open water periods continues.”

The article and presentations drew national attention and helped make the polar bear something of a poster child for the global warming movement. Al Gore’s mention of the polar bear in his documentary on climate change, “An Inconvenient Truth,” came up during investigators’ questioning of Gleason in January.

In May 2008, the U.S. classified the polar bear as a threatened species, the first with its survival at risk due to global warming.

According to a transcription of a February 23 interview, investigator Eric May asked Gleason his thoughts on Gore referencing the dead polar bears. Gleason said none of the polar bear papers he has written or co-authored has said “anything really” about global warming.

If that is the case, he should have stepped up and confronted Al Gore on the assumptions Gore made. Yes, Gore made a lot of assumptions. Please allow me to say… this really is an inconvenient truth for the global-warming crowd.

Al Gore Still At It

Al Gore is still at it. He is trying to convince us that global warming is a real problem we must face today. His new tactic, like all those who still believe in this man-made religion, is that global warming is causing all of this extreme cold weather.

Remember, man-made global warming was also the cause of all the heat waves that we have experienced in the past 10 years, along with both the presence of hurricanes and the absence of hurricanes. Global warming advocates also feel that the presence of rain and the absence of rain is caused by man-made global warming. They are basically saying that if we have bad weather, or good weather, it is a result of man-made global warming.

This is what one should expect from those who deny the living and true God. AS Romans 1 indicates, they tend to replace the true God with a god of their own making, i.e., god of global warming, whom we must appease by taxing industry and banning the use of SUVs. (Who says the mythology of the Greeks no longer exist?)

The point is that Al Gore is a real dunderhead in his persistence of claiming bad weather is the result of man-made global warming. You can read about it here, where you will also find true climatologist commenting on the problem. Here is what the real scientist are saying:

“Gore’s statement actually indicates a deeper problem — lack of precise predictions,” said Dr. William M. Briggs, a statistician and climate scientist. His research shows that there are no increased weather problems because of global warming, Briggs told FoxNews.com.

“He’s saying that anything bad that happens must be because global warming caused it. Activists like Gore are great at identifying events after the fact as being caused by global warming, but terrible at predicting them beforehand,” Briggs said.

Meteorologist Art Horn agreed, noting the extensive history of devastating weather over the millennia — none of which he connects with global warming.

“If one actually studies the history of weather over the last 2,000 years, you see massive storms, amazing heat, brutal cold waves, devastating droughts, terrible floods and disastrous hurricanes — none caused by global warming,” he told FoxNews.com.

That should help clear this up. If you would like to continue in this false belief of man-made global warming, please, put your money where your mouth is and drive one of those non-energy saving green cars. That is your sacrament as well as a tithe to your religion. But it is becoming more and more evident that believing in global warming really takes a great deal of faith in people like Al Gore. Do you really want to put your faith in him? I hope not.
