Obama Approves of Grumpy Old Biden

I was listening to Rush Limbaugh yesterday after the VP debate and he pointed out that what we saw of Joe Biden is exactly what the Democratic Party has become. For those of you who didn’t watch the debate, Biden came across as mean, grumpy, condescending, arrogant, aloof, and seemed to make light of some serious issues by laughing all the time. The entire performance angered quite a few people and most have seen Biden and the Democratic Party for what they are.

The news this morning is seeing that Obama approved of Biden’s behavior. He thought Biden did an excellent point. Obama said:

“I’m going to make a special point of saying that I thought Joe Biden was terrific tonight,” Obama said as he descended Air Force One, according to a media pool report. “I could not be prouder of him. I thought he made a very strong case. I really think that his passion for making sure that the economy grows for the middle class came through. So I’m very proud of him.”

He proved Rush’s point. If Obama is proud of Biden, then this is who they are and they are proud of it. They don’t mind being arrogant and condescending. They dont’ mind looking down on America and ruling from on high. They truly do think they are the smartest people in the room.

I truly do hope and pray that God spares us from another four years of this Administration. If Obama and Biden get reelected, I don’t think there will be another election in U.S. for president because I don’t think the U.S. will survive intact. It will end up going the way of the Soviet Union.

  1. I haven’t watched the debate yet but I think Limbaugh has it right. The thing that seems so typical to me in these debates is the talking over your opponent. I am amazed at the news outlets that let this go on when they have a volume control for their mic’s. The conservative usually has a choice, either continue talking so that no one hears anything but two people talking at the same time, or stop. One things for sure, the Dem is not going to let the Republican talk. The news agencies seem to like this, including fox. I, for one, turn it off. What’s the point?

    • I agree. The debates are more for the undecided than they are for those of us who know how we are going to vote. ONe of my nexts posts will simply be about how Christians should never vote for a Democrat, given what that party stands for.

      • Before you write that post, as your sister in Christ, I humbly exhort you to meditate on Psalm 2 and listen to the sermon my pastor David Reese preached this evening – “Allegiance to Christ” Springs/TriLakes Reformed Church. I’m sure that it will be uploaded to SermonAudio in the next day or two.

I don’t know if you have changed your view since you wrote this in an earlier post on Joel Osteen and Mormonism:

One final point concerning Mormons. The reason this topic is so front and center is because Mitt Romney is a Mormon. A lot of people are saying they will not vote for Romney because he is a Mormon. I won’t vote for him because he is a moderate. While I do believe that Romney’s Mormonism gives him a different view of Christ and the afterlife, I don’t believe it would inhibit him from being a good president. I just don’t think he is the best candidate because he IS a moderate. We need a conservative. One who happens to be a Christian would be a bonus, but it’s not essential.

May the Holy Spirit by your guide as you search the Scriptures and ponder what it means to bow the knee to the King of Kings at this time.

        sDg,

        Carole

      • Hi Carole,
I will give it a listen if I get the chance. I’m still debating writing it. For this political season, I’ve gotten about as political as I want too for now. I’ve decided that God already has His man for the job and I’m humbly awaiting the outcome.

What was it about the Osteen and Mormonism posts you did not like?
        Blessings
        Timothy

      • The Mormon view of Jesus Christ and the afterlife isn’t just different, it is a lie spawned by the father of lies. And because Romney is a faithful, high ranking member in his church, it is most probable that he believes the blasphemous Mormon Mantra – “as God once was [a man], I am now, as God is now, I will be [a god].”

I think Paul in his letter to the Galatians says it best [and to the Billy Grahams, Joel Osteens and 1000s of pastors and pew sitters of our time who claim the name of Christ and yet in their pragmatic desperation to rid this country of Obama are willing to put their trust in a man whose mind is hostile to the the One true Living God (Rom 8.6-9)] –

“I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting him who called you in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel— not that there is another one, but there are some who trouble you and want to distort the gospel of Christ. But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be accursed. As we have said before, so now I say again: If anyone is preaching to you a gospel contrary to the one you received, let him be accursed.

For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying to please man? If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ.” (1:6-10)

The fact that Romney is politically moderate, conservative or a socialist like his opponent is the least of the God-fearing, Bible-believing Christian’s concern. If we take God at His Word, our allegiance must be to Jesus Christ, and Him alone, ruling even now, as King of Kings, from his heavenly throne.

Again, I respectfully urge you to listen to Pastor Reese’s sermon based on Psalm 2 from Sunday evening, October 21st. I just checked and it has been uploaded.

        Carole

      • OK Carole, but who are you going to vote for? I’m not sure I’m willing to label Romney as a moderate. Fiscally and morally he seems conservative, especially with the pick of Paul Ryan. Are you suggesting we vote for some third party candidate that has no chance of winning? That is a vote for Obama.

As for his mormonism, that doesn’t disqualify him to lead as the president. The president does not have to be a Christian for me to vote for him and support him as president. It would be nice if he were a born-again Christian, but that really doesn’t guarantee he would make a good president. Jimmy Carter was the last one to say he was born-again, and Clinton had those leanings. I would not vote for either of them.

As for supporting someone who is not a Christian, we have that freedom in Christ to do so. The Westminster Confession of Faith makes it clear that the head of the state is not the head of the church, therefore it is not required of them to be Christians.

AS for Pastor’s Reese’s sermon, I will listen… give the link.

  2. The only reason I can think of why the president likes Biden as his Vice president is that he is insurance against assassination.
