16 Year Old Gets It Right on Gay Marriage and the Left

Madeleine McAulay, a 16-year-old native of North Carolina gets it right when it comes to the left and the controversy about Gay “marriage.” She points out how ludicrous it is that President Obama is considered wise because he gets his opinion about gay marriage from his two daughters, but she’s considered mean, homophobic and backwards because she doesn’t share the same opinion as those on the left. I hope there are more and more 16 year olds who understand the issue like Madeleine. Watch the video:

  1. She’s isn’t considered mean, homophobic and backwards because she doesn’t share the same opinion as those on the left. She is considered mean vicious and homophobic because she actively denies people a chance to enjoy the same right to a meaningful marriage that she will herself enjoy when the time comes.

    • Daniel,
Thanks for your view of the topic. But if it takes government approval of same-sex unions for them to be meaningful, fulfilling, etc., then they are not true unions to begin with. Since they are not true unions, even with government approval, they will still be empty and void of true meaning since they are rooted in sin.

      • That is ridiculous. Marriage has been a function of civil government since long before Christianity even took an interest in the institution. It is state governments which recognize it and the federal government that ensures states recognize each other’s marriages. There are definite legal and financial benefits that go with recognized benefits, a fact about which you are well aware, but you haul this game out in defense of your malice. There is no excuse for that kind of deceit..

      • Daniel,
What world are you living in? Marriage was established at the beginning of time by God between men and women. When one man and one woman come together they reflect the image of God in the marriage. You might try reading Genesis 1-2, since this is where the foundation of marriage is given. Since it was given at the beginning of man’s time on earth, all mankind has the same institution, whether they be Christian or not. Marriage, as an institution, actually predates civil government which wasn’t established until Genesis 9.

      • I’m living in a world where historically the Christian church did NOT embrace marriage for several centuries after its founding, a world in which marriage began as a civil function. This is not changed by your favorite piece of fiction.

      • Sorry Daniel, but you are wrong. The Apostle Paul addressed marriage in 1 Corinthians 7, giving the church guidelines for marriage. So to claim that the church didn’t embrace it, your not working with real history. Jesus also spoke of marriage, sanctified marriage with his first miracle in John 2, and since He is the God-Man, gave us marriage in Genesis 1-2.

      • You need to substantiate your claims. You have offered nothing but mere conjecture at this point. The early church did not prohibit marriage in the least in every thing I have read of the church fathers, those who live in the first several centuries after Christ. It was only through the corruption of the Roman Catholic Church that marriage was prohibited. But a funny thing happened in the 1500s, called the Reformation. So please, give me some of your evidence that supports your claim.

      • So, you want to produce evidence at the same time that you disown the relevance of that evidence ahead of time? Bottom line is the history of Christianity is irrelevant to you. You’ve just made that very clear.

So, i’m supposed to go on a wild goose chase? No.

You go on hurting people in the name of Jesus, Timothy. Have a ball.

      • No, you are making unsubstantiated claims. I’ve studied church history. I have a minor in Roman history for the same time period that you are speaking of, and the claims you are making are new to me. If you are going to make such a claim, you need to be willing to back it up. Since you cannot and will not based on your own laziness, please cease and desist on this blog. In other words, you just lost the battle. The least you could do is hop over to Wikipedia and try to make your case from there. But alas…
