King Obama’s Compromise Does Nothing

In the end, anyone who has insurance will be paying for abortions and reproductive care. This is the end result of the supposed compromise by King Obama announced yesterday over the mandates give to religious institutions that they must cover things like abortion and the morning-after pill.

All King Obama did was offer an accounting trick in order to get us to pay for what we do not wish to pay for: abortions and birth-control pills that result in early-term abortions. He stated that the insurance companies must provide these services to all women, and that those of us who object to these things because of religious beliefs, will not be required to pay for them.

Yes… but… the insurance company is going to pass those costs on to someone, namely, everyone who has insurance. This is a just a shell game to try and fool us. It is more the deceit we can expect from this Administration. Obama really isn’t concerned about religious freedoms, but mandating His kingdom on all of us.

Mark Steyn Show’s Obama’s Root for Abortion Edict — Obama thinks he is a king. Here are Steyn’s words:

The president of the United States has decided to go Henry VIII on the Church’s medieval ass. Whatever religious institutions might profess to believe in the matter of “women’s health,” their pre-eminences, jurisdictions, privileges, authorities, and immunities are now subordinate to a one-and-only supreme head on earth determined to repress, redress, restrain, and amend their heresies. One wouldn’t wish to overextend the analogy: For one thing, the Catholic Church in America has been pathetically accommodating of Beltway bigwigs’ ravenous appetite for marital annulments in a way that Pope Clement VII was disinclined to be vis-à-vis the English king and Catherine of Aragon. But where’d all the pandering get them? In essence President Obama has embarked on the same usurpation of church authority as Henry VIII: As his Friday morning faux-compromise confirms, the continued existence of a “faith-based institution” depends on submission to the doctrinal supremacy of the state.

Most troubling.

This shows Obama’s utter arrogance and contempt for those of us who happen to actually believe in the God of the Bible. Killing babies is political whether he wants to concede the point or not. Each child is made in the image of God, therefore worthy of life.

He was brash enough to quote Jesus at the recent prayer breakfast in order to justify his views on taxing the rich. What about Christ’s words concerning the “least of these?” Does he not see that the children inside the womb fall under that category? Unless there is repentance upon his part, those words will come back to burn him.

As for the mandates, we must stand up against them and oppose them at whatever level we can. These mandates are unconstitutional and unless we stand up against them today, then there will be more and more transgressions of the state on the people under its care than before.

If this mandate continues, I wonder if Christians need to dump insurance all together? After all, if we are supporting abortions through our premiums, should we continue to use insurance?
