Apparently the day has been set for all cartoonist to draw Mohammed. This is in response to a couple of bloggers who threatened cartoonist from the television show South Park who drew Mohammed as a bear. I’ve never seen South Park, but I do understand that the writers of the program seek to belittle everyone and anyone. (Which means they are not prejudiced. They treat everyone poorly on an equal basis). So it should not surprise us to see them do this as well. One episode actually had Jesus and Santa Claus fighting for supremacy, or so I’ve read. Those are the type of things I really don’t care to get my dander up about because you can expect those who don’t believe to act like… well, unbelievers. We should accept the fact that they do not believe in Christ for salvation and see our belief in Him as foolish. The apostle Paul had something to say about that in 1 Corinthians 1.

As for drawing Mohammed, I don’t plan to, but I do find it humorous that so many around the world get upset over him being drawn, and so many of the politically correct persuasion try to prevent it from happening out of fear of upsetting Muslims. They never seem to care about upsetting people of other religions, so why do they give preferential treatment to Muslims?

Yes, you are right. Muslims have a tendency to kill people that disagree with them. I guess when your life is on the line, political correctness can fall by the wayside. Those behind the “Draw Mohammed Day” are trying to outdo the murderous thugs of Islam. I guess their theory is that if everyone draws Mohammed, then there will be just too many people of Islam to focus upon in order to kill them.

The strange thing about this is that the Left is always claiming that it is our lifestyle that offends Islam and gives them a reason to attack us. Remember after 9/11 how we were blamed by those on the left for our way of life? I guess that living in a free society is just far to offensive to Islam, so they attacked us, and by golly, according to the Left, we deserved it. Yet here we have those on the Left seeking to actually offend on purpose. How come the Left never decries the creators of South Park? Just an observation. Let’s see how well they fair against the radicals of Islam.
