Many of you know that I feel it is part of my pastoral duty to point out the errors of false religions. This is because it is necessary for you to not only know the Truth, which will set you free, but know that which is false, so that when it comes knocking at your door, you will see it for what it is.

I found this video at Neil’s site on the Book of Mormon vs. the Bible. It shows how the Bible is supported historically, archaeologically, textually, linguistically, anthropologically, etc., and how the Book of Mormon is not. While it is an hour long, it is worth watching every minute of it.

It even offers the current prophet of Mormonism saying that the Jesus they worship is not the historical Jesus of the Bible. This is vital to understand because many Mormons today are under the impression that they are trusting in the Jesus of history. Yet, their own prophet says otherwise. They are trusting in the Jesus of Joseph Smith’s imagination. That is not good. It’s not the same Jesus.

Get some coffee and a piece of cheesecake. That’s what Andy and I did, sit back and watch the video. The video is very helpful and will strengthen your faith in the authenticity of the Bible and the person of Jesus Christ.
